Max Audsley is a Year 12 student and emerging artist whose practice is rooted in portraiture and the everyday. Working mainly in painting and drawing, he is drawn to the human figure and ordinary moments, capturing them with a kinetic energy that echoes both music and the human condition. Influenced by the raw pulse of punk, rock, and electro, Max’s work embraces a rough, unpolished line — spontaneous, instinctive, and authentic in a world that often prefers order and misconception.

In 2025, Max was named a finalist in the Lester Prize Youth Awards, a recognition that has further fuelled his commitment to pursuing art at a professional level. With aspirations to study at the National Art School, he continues to refine his practice while staying true to the expressive, instinctive mark-making that defines his style.
